One of the concerns that we hear over and over from home owners is that they have worked with companies before that are professional in the beginning, however, as soon as the work starts their professionalism declines. At Tarrant Roofing we take this concern away from our clients by promising a continual flow of professional work ethic and attitude.
When researching residential construction companies in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metro area, there are several items of concern you should address before hiring one for your project. For Instance, there are many residential construction/roofing companies that will claim they are a local business and are insured during storm season. Always verify the license!
Our ratings and satisfactory level is rather high because we take the time to educate and inform our customers. There are several construction companies that will reuse pipe jacks and vents when they re-roof a roofing system; this is not the proper process. Some of these less than professional companies cut cost by using staples or the minimum amount of nails.
Tarrant Roofing provides installations, repairs that are extensive or limited in scope, as well as full restoration. We have extensive experience with Texas homes and businesses and the way construction techniques and products do—and do not—hold up to the elements that the Lone Star state faces on an ongoing basis. This specific expertise, coupled with the drive to do things right, ensures that when you spend your hard-earned money to make an improvement or repair to your home, you have made a lasting investment.
Whatever problem you may be experiencing with your home, call our team to talk it over. If your home is having ventilation issues, it may be due to improper framing of the roofing system. The fence you thought that needed to be replaced? Perhaps only the fence posts need to be replaced, along with some professional adjustments that we can make for you inexpensively and effectively. You won’t know until you call for a professional assessment
“I am very pleased with the work that was done.”
I am very pleased with the work that was done. I was talked through the inspection process, aided in filing the insurance claim, and the roof was completely replaced by mid-afternoon on the day the work began. I haven't discovered a single stray nail to this point, and I've been asked multiple times if the work is to my satisfaction. I would heartily recommend Tarrant Roofing.
“I would use them again without hesitation.”
I am extremely particular when contracting any repair work on my home and particularly my roof as I've had seriously problems before. I will tell you that Tarrant Roofing and Tye, with Tarrant, in particular did everything he said they would do, when they said they would do it and the result was a very satisfied customer, me. From helping with the initial inspection to having the material delivered to the execution and after job clean up, it was all executed exactly like it was supposed to be. I would use them again without hesitation.
“The job was done in time, clean and professional.”
The company did a good job. The ice storm proved that the roof was not leaking. The job was done in time, clean and professional.
“They finished the job in 1 day at no inconvenience to me or my family.”
Did a great job on my new roof! They finished the job in 1 day at no inconvenience to me or my family. Answered all our questions and were very helpful. We would definitely recommended them and use them again!
“ I am very pleased to recommend Tarrant roofing to anyone.”
In late September or early Oct I was approached by Tony Holt from Tarrant Roofing asking to inspect my roof. We agreed and in doing so he informed me of extensive hail damage. My insurance was notified and an adjuster came out and did his inspection. Tony dealt directly with the insurance adjuster and worked a very agreeable settlement. Tarrant Roofing installed a new roof of my choice, installation complete in just one day, and did it just as we had agreed. I recommended him to my neighbor Mr. Tom Akins and they did his roof also. I am very pleased to recommend Tarrant Roofing to anyone and particularly Tony Holt's service. Roy LaFon, 6000 Wimbleton Way, Fort Worth, TX 76133
“ I was simply blown away to find out that the roof was completed in just one day.”
Tarrant Roofing is an outstanding company. Monte Barnhill was very polite and professional in every sense of the word. He answered all of my questions, and walked us through all of the paper work with the insurance company. He delivered everything he promised, a new roof, screens, and inside ceiling repair. I was simply blown away to find out that the roof was completed in just one day. The crew installed a 40 year roof and the clean up was immaculant. I hope and pray I don't need another roof but you can best bet if I do Tarrant Roofing is the only one I will call. To Monte and the crew: A JOB WELL DONE.

Everyone loves the idea of having a maintenance-free roof, and many roofing manufacturers aim to meet that need by offering products that are as low-maintenance as possible. However, regardless of the type of roof you have, the fact of the matter is that you will inevitably have to perform some routine upkeep on your roof if you want it to continue to look and function at its best for as long as possible. What does it take to keep a roof in tip top shape?
Here are some tips for the best way to keep your roof clean:
Apply a roof cleaner. You may purchase roof cleaner from any home improvement store. It is likely that you may have to mix it with water before applying it. Just follow the manufacturer’s instructions, mixing in an insecticide sprayer or power washer. If you can, climb up onto your roof so that you can be sure to give it a thorough spray. If you do decide to use a power washer, be sure to use it on an extremely low pressure setting, so as not to damage your roofing material. Allow the cleaner to sit on your roof for as long as the manufacturer suggests- usually about 25 minutes.
Rinse the roof cleaner. After you have allowed the roof cleaner to soak for the specified amount of time, rinse the cleaner off using a garden hose or a power washer set to a very low pressure. If there is any mildew or stains left, blast these away using the force of the water, or scrub if necessary.
Clean your gutters. It is likely that there will be a good deal of waste in your gutters after a thorough roof cleaning. Prevent the gutter drains from clogging by removing large debris by hand, then use your garden hose to flush out the remainder of the waste.
Adhere to a regular cleaning schedule. You don’t have to clean your roof all too often, but a cleaning every one to three years is a good idea, if you want to keep your roof looking its best. Also, keep in mind that the better you care for your roof, the more likely you are to see it to its fullest possible life span.
There is a lot to think about when it comes to caring for your roof. Experienced professionals can advise you on the best ways to maintain your roof. To put your roofing project into the hands of a contractor you can trust, contact Tarrant Roofing.

Are you in the process of making choices for your new roof, and pulling out your hair over the myriad options? If so, then you could definitely benefit from a clear break-down of the different roofing materials available to you. Fortunately, you’ve come to the right place. Here are roofing materials explained:
Shingles are the least expensive option you have when it comes to roofing materials, and they come in a wide array of styles and colors. For example, you may choose simple asphalt shingles, plastic polymer shingles that look like slate, or super-thick architectural shingles. While shingles are inexpensive, they also carry the shortest life spans and may require more maintenance and repairs than many alternative materials.
Generally made of clay (but sometimes concrete), tile is one of the more expensive routes you can take when choosing a roofing material. However, tiles are very durable, and can last fifty years or more. Tile is well suited for Mediterranean or Spanish style housing, but there are also tiles made to look like slate or wood, which would be suitable for any style.
Wood shingles and shakes are made of rot-resistant wood, and they give a warm, natural look and feel to any home. Wood is in the mid-range when it comes to price, and it requires perhaps the most upkeep of all the roofing materials. Additionally, wood does not carry a very long lifespan and it is not very fire resistant (unless you have it specially treated).
This is the most expensive roofing material you can go with, but it is also the most durable and long lasting. As a matter of fact, a slate roof’s life span may be one hundred years or more. Slate is very heavy, and is only suitable for steeply pitched roofs. Therefore, you will need to ensure that your home’s foundation walls are strong enough to carry a slate roof before you commit. Your builder or architect can give you guidance in that arena.
Available in aluminum, steel, copper, or zinc alloy, metal roofing is a mid-range material when it comes to both cost and life span. You may choose to purchase the material in its natural finish, or even to install a sleek, painted version. Either way, metal roofing is a suitable option for virtually any type or style of home.

Your roof is a major purchase. Therefore, you want it to last as long as possible. Many people scoff at the idea of spending money on roof upkeep, citing it is an unnecessary expense, but the truth is that improper care of a roof can shorten its lifespan dramatically, and end up costing more money in the long run. It goes without saying that giving your roof some TLC every now and then is less expensive than replacing your roof altogether, right? Do right by your roof and follow these tips for how to maintain your new roof:
Clear your roof of debris.
This is especially important if you have large trees hanging over your home. A buildup of dead leaves and acorns on your roof is more than just an eyesore; it the perfect opportunity for a natural dam to form. Dam means water, and water means leaking. Do yourself a huge favor before it’s too late by taking a broom or a blower and removing the debris from your roof.
Repair or replace shingles.
It is not unusual for shingles to become warped and curl up. When it is hot out, the shingles are relatively malleable and should be easy to bend back into shape. If the weather is colder, you may need to apply heat with a blow dryer in order to soften the shingles and reshape them. Either way, curled shingles present opportunities for water leakage, so tackle them as soon as you see them. Shingles may become loose or damaged after rough weather, or even due to normal wear and tear. It is important that you replace loose or damaged shingles as soon as you notice them – again, the idea is to avoid leakage.
Clean your roof periodically.
Fortunately for you, this is a job that you can put off for every one to three years. However, it is a necessity if you want to keep your new roof looking new, and free of dirt and mildew. Simply purchase a roof cleaner from any home improvement store, spray the cleaner onto the roof using an insecticide sprayer or pressure washer (set at the lowest pressure setting possible), let the cleaner soak according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and then rinse.
Keep your gutters clear.
One way to prevent debris buildup and to ensure proper water drainage from your rooftop is to clean out your gutters regularly. Simply take a blower to the foliage, and then use a water hose to rinse the rest out.
